Hello! I am a freelance writer and project manager, officially-licensed tour guide in New York City, and world traveler with a variety of work experience, ranging from writing best-selling travel guides to working with renowned hotel brands. From short social media and blog posts to long-form articles requiring detailed research, I can shape my words to fit your voice. My lifelong interest in cities took me to Vassar College where I studied Geography with a focus on Urban Life.
Currently, I am organizing virtual and in-person tours of New York City with Bowery Boys Walks. This new walking tour company is a partnership with the popular podcast, The Bowery Boys: New York City History, Other clients have included guidebooks like Not For Tourists and Frommer's Travel as well as online publications like EuroCheapo and ShowTickets.com, In addition, I have worked on digital projects with Google, Zagat, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and TripAdvisor. Back in 2011, I created an app for eating in Chinatown that was featured in the NY Post, and my wife and I still maintain an active blog over at across106thstreet.
My current home is on the island of Manhattan, just a few steps from Central Park, I grew up in Massachusetts, spent many weeks on Block Island, and I've lived in Arizona, Portland (Oregon), Seattle, and Sweden.
